The Organization is engaged in the issues related to mental harmonious development of man. It is the supporter of healthy way of living and favors the spheres such as upbringing, education, culture, society ecology and public health.

The organization aims at propagating in Armenia and outside it the teaching of an outstanding thinker, psychologist, philosopher and intellectual GEORGI IVANOVITCH GURDJIEFF.

The Organization is to be the analogy of the center created by Gurdjieff himself.

The Organization undertakes:

* to carry out mental rehabilitation works with all age groups either individually or in groups, regardless of sex and social group;

* to conduct educational works which include lessons, physical work (in Rest Homes, Boarding Schools etc.);

* to conduct a psychological centers, namely, schools and institutes which can carry out intensive analytical operations with the masses within the political and business frameworks and in a governmental system;

* to establish international relations with similar organizations. Based on charitable and individual contributions, the organization undertakes the settlement and the prevention of psychological issues ignored by men;

* to arrange business trips of working groups to hotspots and extreme areas of the world with a view to rendering a psychological aid to people who happen to be in stress situations;

* to hold charitable lessons and discussions in higher educational establishments. Its goal is to involve a great number of psychologists, psychotherapists, pedagogues through discussions.

The Organization realizes its goals based on the methods worked out by G.Gurdjieff, the worldwide outstanding philosopher and an intellectual.

The year 2005 was declared by Gurdjieff International Charitable Organization "The Year of Gurdjieff" dedicated to his 125th anniversary (1880-1949). During this year a series of events including seminars, conferences, exhibitions were held.

On November 25, 2005 "Gurdjieff and His Teaching" international conference dedicated to 125th anniversary of Georgi Gurdjieff was held in Yerevan.

The Gurdjieff center was founded in Ohanavan. The branches of the Organization were established in Gyumri, Vanadzor and Moscow.
